What is it about?

Key contents

1️⃣ Manage categories

  • Categories can be created and managed under Settings > Categories or in the Planning section under Budgeting (click on the plus symbol next to an existing category in the the desired group)
  • New categories can be created under an existing group (e.g. Online Marketing)
  • Optional description and SKR account number (if known) can be added - if in doubt, ask your tax accountant for help
  • Without SKR assignment, the number of the parent group is used

  • In the Multibanking section, transactions can be searched and filtered (e.g. by the search term Facebook)
  • Multiple transactions can be selected and assigned to a new category
  • Assignments are visible everywhere in Frienton: acsh flow statement, live P&L (BWA), and planning

3️⃣ Budgeting

  • New categories also appear in the Planning tab and can abe created under Budgeting (click on the plus symbol next to an existing category in the the desired group)
  • Budgets can be defined at category level (e.g. Facebook)

4️⃣ SKR Mapping & tax view

  • Categories are assigned to the chosen chart of accounts (SKR03 or SKR04) in the live P&L
  • Switching to Tax view shows the assigned SKR accounts (e.g. 6600 for Online Marketing)
  • Categories can be hidden if necessary (under Settings) to reduce complexity
